By Matt Staggs on February 22, 2014 in News The University of Mississippi (âOle Missâ) chapter of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity has been suspended following an incident in which a noose was placed around the neck of a statue of James Meredith on campus. A Confederate flag emblem was also placed on the statue. Three Sigma Phi Epsilon students stand accused of the incident. Each of them is 19 years-old, and all three hail from Georgia.
